Today was one of those rare days when there wasn't much on the agenda apart from organizing some AANT business and catching up on work projects. I decided it was the perfect day to bake bread, partly because there was no bread in the house and partly because I just love the aroma of freshly baked bread.. Crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside, these little buns, which featured beer as a secret ingredient, really hit the spot. Enjoying them for lunch with a generous helping of creamy goat cheese, I was momentarily transported back to the South of France where I spent a year in my early twenties.
I still pine for the wonderful Farmer's Markets with their ripe fresh vegetables and delicious, smelly cheeses. Happy times!
Nibbles and Fluff
In 2008 I co-founded the rescue group, Animal Advocates of North Texas (AANT) to help lost and abandoned animals find forever homes.
